Scatterplot

A data collection tool that records when behaviours occur to identify temporal patterns in a learner's day.

A scatterplot assessment breaks the day into time blocks, like 30-minute intervals. You mark the specific blocks where the target behaviour occurs.

Over several days, a visual pattern often emerges. You might see that a behaviour happens frequently just before lunch or during math class, and rarely at other times. This helps you pinpoint specific environmental variables to investigate further.
